Application
1). Agriculture: formic acid is used in the storage of green fodder and has antiseptic and disinfectant properties.
Leather and textiles: in leather processing, formic acid is used as tanning agent, ash remover and neutralizer; in textile dyeing and printing, formic acid is used as dyeing aid and eliminating agent of nitrite gas.
2). Rubber: Formic acid is used as rubber auxiliary and coagulant in the processing of natural rubber.
3). Pharmaceutical: formic acid is used to synthesize a variety of pharmaceutical intermediates, such as caffeine, anandamide, aminopyrine, aminophylline, vitamin B1, etc..
4). Chemical industry: formic acid is used in the manufacture of various chemicals, such as calcium formate, sodium formate, ammonium formate, ethyl formate and so on.
5). Pesticides: Formic acid is used to synthesize many kinds of pesticides, such as powder rust, triazolone, tricyclazole and so on.
6). Electroplating: It is used as additive in electroplating solution to improve the quality of electroplating.
7). Food industry: formic acid is used for food preservation and anticorrosion, such as canning cleaning and disinfection, fruit juice preservation, etc..
8). Other applications: Formic acid is also used in organic synthesis, disinfection, antiseptic and other fields.
Storage
1). Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
2). Keep away from fire and heat source. Store at a temperature not exceeding 32°C and a relative humidity not exceeding 80%.
3). Keep the container sealed.
4). It should be stored separately from oxidizers, alkalis and active metal powders, and should never be mixed.
5). Equipped with appropriate varieties and quantities of fire fighting equipment.
6). The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency response equipment and suitable sheltering materials.
