Application
1). Daily chemical and fragrance industry
Fragrance ingredients: widely used in perfumes, cosmetics, soaps, detergents, etc., to give the product a floral and fruity aroma.
Fragrance fixing agent: prolongs the durability of fragrance and balances other volatile ingredients.

Storage
1). Avoid light: UV rays will accelerate oxidation, need to be stored in brown glass bottles or containers to avoid light.
2). Low Temperature: It is recommended to store in 2-8°C refrigerated or in a cool place (<25°C) to avoid high temperature leading to volatilization or decomposition.
3). Seal against oxidation:Fill with nitrogen or evacuate to minimize oxygen exposure.Add antioxidants (e.g. BHT, Vitamin E) to delay oxidation.
4). Dry environment: avoid moisture absorption, humidity control below 40%.
5). Isolation of ignition source: it is a flammable liquid, keep away from heat source and open flame.
Stability
1). Chemical stability
Easy to oxidize: exposed to air will gradually oxidize into geranial, geranylgeranyl, etc., need antioxidant treatment.
Photosensitivity: photolysis or isomerization may occur under light (e.g. to nerol).
Acid sensitivity: strong acids or high temperatures may dehydrate to produce terpene by-products.
2). Physical Stability
Loss to volatilization: High vapor pressure leads to volatility, requires tight sealing.
Precipitation at low temperatures: Crystallization may occur at low temperatures and can be recovered by shaking well after returning to temperature.
3). Storage period
Unopened pure product can be stored for 1-2 years under ideal conditions, after opening it is recommended to use it up within 6 months.
Regularly check the purity (e.g. GC analysis) and replace it immediately if turbidity or odor appears.
