1). Cosmetics

Storage
1). Environmental control
Temperature: Store in a cool and dry place (20-30°C recommended), avoid high temperature (>40°C) to trigger oxidation or hydrolysis.

2). Container selection

Stability
1). Chemical stability
Hydrolysis reaction: slowly hydrolyzed to palmitic acid and ethanol under strong acid, alkali or hot and humid conditions, elevated acid value may affect the performance (regular testing of acid value).
Oxidative stability: as a saturated ester, it has excellent antioxidant properties (no double bond), no need to add additional antioxidants for long-term storage.
2). Physical Stability
Phase change: liquid at room temperature, may partially solidify at low temperature (<24°C), return to liquid state after heating does not affect the use.
Viscosity retention: minimal change in viscosity over long term storage, suitable for industrial applications where viscosity stabilization is required.
3). Shelf life and testing
Shelf life: Stable for 3-5 years under unopened conditions, recommended to be used up within 2 years after opening.
Testing index: Regular testing of acid value (AV≤0.3 mg KOH/g), peroxide value (PV≤2 meq/kg) and appearance (transparent and no precipitation).
