Application
Pharmacological Indication:
A steroidal aromatase inhibitor that reduces estrogen production by irreversibly inactivating the aromatase enzyme.
Used for the adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with early breast cancer who have received tamoxifen for 2–3 years, as part of extended adjuvant therapy.
Indicated for the treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women when other antiestrogen therapies have failed.
Storage
Store at 20–25°C (68–77°F), with short-term excursions permitted between 15–30°C (59–86°F).
