Application
1). Ester raw material: Used in the synthesis of isononyl isononanoate (INCI name: Isononyl Isononanoate), which is used as a light emollient to enhance the extensibility and refreshing skin feel of skin care products and sunscreens.
2). Emulsifier Auxiliary: Used as a hydrophobic chain component of surfactants in formulations such as facial cleansers and make-up removers.
3). Lubricant additives: Used in metalworking fluids or engine oils to improve lubricity and corrosion resistance.
4). Plasticizer synthesis: involved in the preparation of plasticizers for polymer materials to enhance plastic flexibility.
5). Metal surface treatment: used as an acidic cleaning agent component in electroplating or rust prevention processes to remove oxides.
6). Industrial descaler: used to remove mineral deposits or oil from equipment surfaces.

Storage

Stability
1). Thermal stability: stable at room temperature, may oxidize to form peroxides or carboxylic acid derivatives at high temperatures (>80°C) over a long period of time.
2). Oxidation risk: may oxidize slowly when exposed to air, nitrogen protection is recommended 3). Hydrolysis: easily hydrolyzed under strong acid/base conditions to form nonanoic acid or other short-chain carboxylic acids.
4). Volatility: low volatility, but long-term open storage may lead to a decrease in concentration.
5). Hygroscopicity: Slightly hygroscopic, may be turbid after absorbing moisture, need to be stored in a dry environment.
6). Metal ions: contact with metal ions such as Fe³⁺, Ca²⁺ may generate insoluble salts, affecting the clarity of the solution.
7). Organic solvents: good compatibility with alcohols and ethers, but strong polar solvents (e.g. DMSO) may trigger side reactions.
