Application
1). Solvent: n-propanol is a good solvent that can dissolve a variety of organic compounds, such as in coatings, inks, adhesives and other industries, used to dissolve resins, pigments and other components, so that they can be evenly mixed and form a good coating or bonding effect. Also commonly used in the electronics industry to clean circuit boards and other precision parts, can effectively remove oil and impurities.
2). Raw material for chemical synthesis: In the field of organic synthesis, n-propanol is an important intermediate. It can be used to produce n-propylamine, propionic acid, propyl ester and many other organic compounds, which are widely used in pharmaceutical, pesticide, spice and other industries. For example, in the pharmaceutical industry for the synthesis of antibiotics, vitamins and other drugs; in the spice industry for the synthesis of spice intermediates, and then formulate a variety of flavors.

4). Storage
1). Storage environment: It should be stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat source, and the temperature of the warehouse should not exceed 37℃. Keep the container sealed to prevent n-propanol from volatilizing and forming explosive mixture with air.
2). Storage container: n-propanol can be stored in suitable containers such as iron drums and plastic drums. For large quantity storage, storage tanks are usually used and equipped with appropriate level meters, thermometers, breathing valves and other safety devices. At the same time, storage containers and equipment should be electrostatically grounded to prevent static buildup from causing fire or explosion.
3). Isolation from other substances: n-propanol should be stored separately from oxidizers, acids, alkali metals, etc., and should never be mixed. This is because n-propanol may react chemically with these substances, resulting in fire, explosion or other hazards.
Stability
1). CHEMICAL STABILITY: At room temperature and pressure, n-propanol has a certain degree of chemical stability, but chemical reactions may occur under specific conditions. For example, n-propanol is susceptible to combustion and explosive reactions at high temperatures, open flames or in the presence of strong oxidizing agents. It can also esterify with acids and react with active metals such as sodium metal to produce the corresponding alcohol salts.
2). PHYSICAL STABILITY: The physical properties of n-propanol are relatively stable, but it is easily volatilized and its vapors can form explosive mixtures with air. In addition, n-propanol has a boiling point of 97.2°C. At temperatures close to or above its boiling point, it will vaporize rapidly, which may lead to an increase in pressure inside the container and pose a safety risk.
