Application
1). Used as a solvent, also used in the preparation of paints and inks.
2). Used as raw material of medicine and pesticide intermediates, also used as paint solvent.
3). Mainly used in the preparation of dairy products, cheese and cream hard sugar type flavour. Can also be formulated with vanilla, mushroom, nuts, coconut, coffee and other flavours.
4). This product is a high boiling point solvent, used in natural resins, synthetic resins, spices, paints, printing inks, dry cleaning fluid, binder.
Storage
Keep sealed and store in a cool, ventilated place.
Stability
1). There are three isomers. It has sweet fruity aroma, soluble in water, miscible in all kinds of paint solvents and vegetable oils.
2). Chemical properties: butyl lactate is insoluble in water and not easy to be hydrolysed. At 180 ℃ for a long time into the air, gradually oxidised to pyruvic acid.
3). When hydrogenated at 225°C 15~20MPa in the presence of copper chromium catalyst, propylene glycol is produced. Reacts with ammonia to form lactic acid amide and butanol.
