Application
1). Used as a raw material for acetate fibre, DMF, solvent for the pesticide carbendazim, used as a curing agent in phenolic resins, used as a fumigant for fruits, various types of tobacco.
2). Used as a standard substance for chromatographic analysis and as a solvent for acetic acid fibre, also used in organic synthesis.
3). Used as raw material for organic synthesis, can make formic acid, formamide, dimethylformamide, ethylene glycol, trichloromethyl chloroformate, glycolic acid ester, acetic anhydride, acetic acid and so on.
4). Also used in the production of pesticides, military gases and solvents; methyl formate is also used as a solvent for cellulose nitrate and cellulose acetate, an intermediate in the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, and as a fumigant bactericide.
5). Gas chromatography standard substance, solvent, organic synthesis, fungicide, insecticide, fumigant.
Storage
1). Storage Precautions Store in a cool, ventilated warehouse.
2). Keep away from fire and heat source. The storage temperature should not exceed 29℃. Keep the container sealed.
3). It should be stored separately from oxidising agents and alkalis, and should never be mixed.
4). Use explosion-proof type lighting and ventilation facilities.
5). Prohibit the use of spark-prone mechanical equipment and tools. The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and suitable shelter materials.
