Application
1). Food and flavor industry
Edible flavors: used to blend orange, jasmine, peach and other fruit flavors, widely used in beverages, confectionery, baked goods.
Flavor solvents: used as a carrier to dissolve other flavor ingredients.

Storage
1). Environmental requirements
Temperature: Store in a cool and ventilated place (15-30°C recommended), avoid high temperature (to prevent oxidation or decomposition).
Humidity: Strictly sealed against moisture (esters are prone to slow hydrolysis).
Light: Store away from light (brown glass or opaque containers are recommended).
2). Container selection
Use stainless steel, glass or plastics resistant to ester solvents (e.g. HDPE), avoid long-term contact with metals such as aluminum and copper.
3). Safety measures
Isolation: Keep away from strong oxidizing agents (e.g. peroxides, nitric acid), strong acids and bases.
Ventilation: Ensure that the storage area is ventilated to avoid accumulation of vapors (vapors are slightly irritating to the respiratory tract).
Labeling: Labeled as "flammable liquid", chemical safety labels are recommended.
Stability
1). Thermal stability
Stable at room temperature, but may decompose at high temperatures (>150°C) for long periods of time to produce acetic acid and octanol.
2). Hydrolysis reaction
Easily hydrolyzed under acidic or alkaline conditions (especially at high temperatures), avoid mixing with aqueous solutions for storage.
The rate of hydrolysis is lower in neutral environments, but moisture protection is still required.
3). Risk of oxidation
Exposure to air may slowly oxidize to form peroxides or other by-products, storage under nitrogen is recommended.
4) Compatible substances
Strong oxidizing agents: may cause violent oxidation reaction or even combustion.
