Application
1). Edible Flavors: give fruit flavors such as grape, orange blossom, strawberry, etc., for soft drinks, juices, confectionery, baked goods, ice cream and alcohol (e.g., wine aroma enhancement).
2). Natural additives: in line with clean labeling trends, for organic food, plant-based beverages and high-end dessert recipes.
3). Fragrance Formulation: Used as a head or middle note fragrance in perfumes, colognes and skin care products to give off a fresh and sweet floral scent, commonly used in floral (e.g. orange blossom, jasmine) and fruity products.
4). Natural skin care products: can be used in essential oil blending or natural cosmetics, to provide a mild aroma, suitable for sensitive skin product lines.
5). Insect attractants: Attract pollinating insects (e.g. bees) or used for pest trapping, reducing the use of chemical pesticides and meeting the needs of eco-agriculture.
6). Plant extract synergist: some studies have shown that it may have bacteriostatic or plant metabolism regulating effects.
7). Tobacco industry: as a natural flavor enhancer to improve the taste of cigarette flavors.
8). Daily chemical flavor: used in detergents, aromatherapy candles, etc. to enhance the olfactory experience of products.
Storage
1). Protected from light and sealed: stored in brown glass or food-grade plastic containers to prevent decomposition or loss of aroma due to light.
2). Cool and dry: Recommended storage temperature **≤25℃**, humidity <60%, avoid high temperature (such as over 40℃ may accelerate volatilization) and humid environment.
3). Keep away from ignition source / oxidizer: it is a combustible liquid, and should be stored separately from strong oxidizer, strong acid and strong alkali to avoid chemical reaction.
4). Under unopened condition: the shelf life of the original sealed storage is usually 2-3 years; it is recommended to use it up within 6 months after opening, and seal it in time to prevent oxidation after use.
Stability
1). Stability at room temperature: Stable in neutral environment, avoid contact with strong acids (such as sulfuric acid) or strong bases (such as sodium hydroxide), otherwise hydrolysis may occur to produce o-aminobenzoic acid and methanol.
2). Heat / light sensitivity: High temperature (>60℃) or long-term light exposure will lead to slow decomposition, aroma gradually weakened, color may become darker.
3). Avoid mixing substances: Direct contact with metal salts (e.g. iron, copper ions) or strong oxidizing ingredients (e.g. peroxides) is not advisable and may trigger deterioration.
4). Solvent compatibility: easily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, propylene glycol, etc., difficult to dissolve in water, the formulation needs to pay attention to the stability of the system.
5). Regular testing: During storage, it is recommended to test the aroma strength, acid value and other indicators quarterly to ensure compliance with product specifications.
6). Cold chain transportation: Long-distance transportation can use refrigerated trucks (temperature 5-10 ℃), to reduce the quality loss during transportation.
