Application
1). Organic synthesis:
Nonanoic acid is an important raw material for organic synthesis, which can be produced by oxidation reaction to produce nonanedioic acid, by ammonia hydrogenation reaction to produce nonanamine, and by pressurized hydrogenation reaction to produce nonanol. In addition, nonanoic acid can also be used to synthesize lubricants and surfactants.
2). Food additives:
Nonanoic acid is an edible flavoring permitted by China's regulations, and is mainly used in the formulation of coconut and berry food flavors to increase the aroma of food .
3). Agriculture:
Nonanoic acid can be used as herbicide in agriculture, which has significant effect on the control of weed seedlings, and has the advantages of not being affected by rainfall, rapid decomposition and not easy to residue.
