Application
1). Cosmetic raw materials: often added as emollient in skin care products, it can moisturize and soothe the skin, make the skin more healthy and texture, also can reduce the surface tension between different ingredients, help the combination of oily and water-based ingredients, improve the feel, texture and performance of body lotions, lip balms, shampoos, and sunscreens and other products.
2). Fragrance modifier: as a modifier in daily chemical flavors, it can add wax fragrance scent and make the products have unique aroma and sensory experience.
3). Surfactant raw material: it is the main raw material for producing surfactants such as sodium tetradecyl polyoxyethylene ether succinate monosulfonate, sodium tetradecyl polyoxypropylene ether succinate monoester sulfonate, etc. These surfactants are widely used in detergents and other products, which can enhance the cleaning effect and foam stability.
4). Other uses: It can be used in the manufacture of tetradecyl mercaptan, detergents, cream softeners, etc. It can also be used as a thickener to enhance the consistency and stability of products.
5). Solubilizer: It can be used as a solubilizer for solid flavor and oil-soluble pharmaceutical additives, which can help the dissolution and stabilization of pharmaceutical ingredients.

Storage
1). Environmental conditions: It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse at a temperature of not more than 30℃, away from fire and heat sources, and prevented from direct sunlight, to avoid melting, deterioration or other physical and chemical changes caused by temperature, humidity and other environmental factors.
2). Packaging requirements: the package must be sealed, use materials that do not react with 1 - Tetradecanol, such as suitable plastic drums, iron drums, etc., to prevent the product from volatilization, absorption of moisture, and oxidation and other reactions in contact with air.
3). Segregation requirements: it should be stored separately from oxidizing agents, acid chlorides, acid anhydrides, never mixed storage to avoid chemical reaction, and equipped with appropriate varieties and quantities of fire-fighting equipment, and the storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency response equipment and suitable sheltering materials.
Stability
1). Chemical stability: it is relatively stable chemically at room temperature and pressure, but chemical reaction may occur at high temperature, strong acid, strong alkali or in contact with strong oxidizing agent, acid chloride, acid anhydride, etc. It may be oxidized if it is in contact with strong oxidizing agent.
2). Physical stability: colorless to white waxy solid sheet at room temperature, melting point of 35-39 ℃, when the temperature is close to or above the melting point will become liquid, after the temperature is lowered it will return to the solid state, under normal circumstances, this change in the state will not affect its chemical properties and performance. However, drastic changes in temperature and long term exposure to high temperature should be avoided in order to prevent excessive changes in the physical state of the quality of the potential impact.
