Application
1) Widely used in the formulation of soap and cosmetic flavors.
2) Used in daily chemicals and edible flavors.
3) Used in the formulation of honey, bread, peach and berry flavors.
4) Artificial rose oil. Fragrance blending agent. Organic synthesis.
Storage
1) This product should be sealed and kept away from light.
2) Packed in glass bottles, jacketed in wooden or plastic drums, stored in a cool, dry and ventilated place.
3) Protect from sunlight and moisture, keep away from fire and heat.
4) Storage and transportation according to general chemical regulations.
5) Load and unload lightly when handling, avoid package damage.
Stability
1). Reaction with aromatic alcohols. The hydroxyl group can be replaced by halogens and esterified by all organic acids in the presence of sulphuric acid. The aromatic ring can be nitrated, sulfonated and halogenated. Hydrogenation produces cyclohexylethanol.
2). It has irritant and anaesthetic effects on rodents, the acute oral LD50 for rats, mice and mice are 1700mg/kg, 800mg/kg and 400mg/kg respectively. however, it is allowed to be used in foodstuffs in the USA, and is used in artificial flavours in Europe at a concentration of 2mg/kg, and the irritation and allergy tests are negative for humans.
3). Exists in baking tobacco, white ribbed tobacco, flavoured tobacco, and cigarette smoke.
4). Naturally occurring in essential oils of rose, allspice, ylang ylang, neroli and other plants.
5). Recognised as GRAS by FEMA and approved for use by FDA.
