Application

Storage
1). Temperature: It should be stored in a cool environment, the ideal storage temperature is generally between 5℃ - 25℃, to avoid high temperature leading to volatilization or decomposition of the product, and at the same time, it should also be prevented from too low a temperature so that the product solidifies or crystallizes, affecting its performance.
2). Humidity: The relative humidity of the storage environment should be kept at a low level, generally not more than 60%, in order to prevent the product from absorbing moisture in the air and undergoing hydrolysis and other reactions.
3). Ventilation: The storage place should be well ventilated to avoid the accumulation of menthyl acetate vapor and reduce the safety risk.
4). Sealing: Use well-sealed packaging containers, such as glass bottles, plastic bottles or metal drums, etc., to ensure that the product is isolated from outside air, moisture, etc., to prevent volatilization and deterioration.
5). Stability
1). Hydrolysis reaction: Under acidic or alkaline conditions, menthyl acetate may undergo a hydrolysis reaction to form menthol and acetic acid. Therefore, avoid contact with acids and alkalis. In a neutral environment, its chemical properties are relatively stable.
2). Oxidative reaction: When exposed to air for a long time or in contact with strong oxidizing agents, menthyl acetate may undergo oxidative reaction, resulting in changes in its aroma and properties. Therefore, coexistence with strong oxidizing agents should be avoided as much as possible, and storage should be well sealed to minimize contact with air.
3). Stable state: under normal storage conditions, menthyl acetate is a colorless transparent liquid with relatively stable physical state. However, crystallization may occur at low temperatures, but this crystallization is usually reversible, and the crystals will re-dissolve when the temperature is restored to a suitable range, and generally will not affect its chemical properties and main functions.
4). Volatility: It has a certain degree of volatility, and with the passage of time and changes in storage conditions, there may be a certain degree of volatilization loss. Therefore, ensure that the package is well sealed during storage to reduce volatilization.
