Application
1). Widely used in daily chemical products (such as perfume, soap, shampoo) and food industry (need to comply with food safety standards, usually as a fruity or floral flavoring agent).
2). Commonly used to imitate jasmine, peach, strawberry and other fragrances.
3). Used as a solvent for paints, lacquers, and inks, to dissolve resins, cellulose, and other materials.
4). Used as an intermediate for synthesizing certain drugs (e.g., antibiotics) or pesticides.
5). As a reactant or solvent in organic synthesis.
Storage
1). Temperature: store in a cool place, recommended 15-25°C, avoid high temperature (to prevent volatilization or decomposition).
2). Humidity: dry environment, prevent hydrolysis.
3). Light: keep away from light (brown glass bottle or dark place).
4). Use well-sealed glass, stainless steel or corrosion-resistant plastic containers and avoid contact with active metals such as aluminum.
5). Keep away from sources of ignition, oxidizers and acids and bases (flammable liquid, flash point about 102°C).
6). The storage area needs to be well ventilated and equipped with anti-static facilities.
Stability
1). Hydrolysis: Acetic acid and benzyl alcohol are formed when exposed to strong acids/bases (humidity control is required).
2). Oxidation: Long-term exposure to air may slowly oxidize, nitrogen-filled storage is recommended.
3). Volatile at high temperatures, avoid open storage.
4). Crystallization is possible at low temperatures, but the liquid state will be restored at room temperature without affecting the quality.
5). Usually can be stored stably for 2-3 years without opening, after opening, it is recommended to use it as soon as possible and seal it strictly.
