Application
1). Mainly used as a seasoning and in sausages.
2). An important spice for Mexican and Italian flavours, particularly used in tomato sauce. Also used in soups, meatballs, and egg dishes.
3). In medicine, it can be made into capsules or oral medications to treat acute gastrointestinal and intestinal parasitic diseases, as well as for the treatment and prevention of heatstroke and feverish colds.
4). A yellow-red or brown-red essential oil with the characteristic pungent aromatic scent of thyme, it is insoluble in glycerol but soluble in water and ethanol, as well as in most non-volatile oils and propylene glycol.
