Application
1). As a moisture-proof solvent, Isobutyl Isobutyrate has low volatility, high electrical resistance and anti-whitening properties, and is widely used in nitro lacquers, plastic base coatings, and high-solids coatings.
2). Naturally occurring in bananas, strawberries, wines and other foodstuffs, synthetic Isobutyl Isobutyrate is often used as an edible flavor for blending apple, pineapple and other fruit-flavored soft drinks, confectionery and bakery products.
3). As a basic chemical raw material, it can be used to synthesize organic compounds such as insecticides.
4). In the plastics industry, it can also be used as a plasticizer to improve the flexibility and low temperature resistance of the material.
5). It can dissolve nitrocellulose fiber, resin and other substances, often used as a urethane grade solvent for ink, adhesive formulations, especially suitable for water-soluble sensitive systems.
Storage
1). It should be stored in a cool and ventilated warehouse, with the temperature strictly controlled below 30℃, away from fire and heat source.
2). Keep the container sealed, and store separately from strong oxidizers, strong alkalis, acids and other dangerous chemicals, avoid mixed storage.
3). The storage area should be equipped with leakage emergency treatment equipment and inert adsorption materials.
Stability
1). Stable at room temperature and pressure, but prone to hydrolysis or violent reaction when exposed to strong acids, strong bases or strong oxidizing agents.
2). It will decompose into isobutyric acid and isobutanol catalyzed by potassium hydroxide, releasing heat.
3). Contact with strong oxidizing agents may cause combustion or explosion.
