Application
1). Fragrance additives
Daily chemical products: used in shampoo, shower gel, perfume, skin care products, etc., to provide a long-lasting fruity flavor (especially green apple flavor).
Food industry: used as food flavorings in candy, beverage, baked goods, etc., to enhance the natural fruit flavor.
Household cleaners: added to air fresheners and detergents to mask chemical odors and enhance freshness.
2). Industrial solvent
As a high boiling point solvent, used in the production of coatings, inks or resins to improve solubility and volatility.
3). Intermediate synthesis
Used in organic synthesis to prepare other ester derivatives or pharmaceutical ingredients.
Storage
1). Environmental requirements
Temperature: It is recommended to store in a cool place (15-25℃), avoid high temperature (>40℃) leading to volatilization or decomposition.
Humidity: Keep dry (relative humidity <60%) to prevent hydrolysis affecting purity.
Light: Keep away from light (brown glass bottle or sealed aluminum foil bag) to prevent oxidation triggered by ultraviolet rays.
2). Packaging and sealing
Use inert material containers (e.g. glass, stainless steel or HDPE plastic), tightly sealed to minimize air contact.
Stability
1). Chemical Stability
Acidic/alkaline conditions: easily hydrolyzed in strong acids or bases, avoid contact with substances with extreme pH values.
Oxidizing: sensitive to oxidation, long term exposure to air may lead to slow deterioration, need to add antioxidants (e.g. BHT) to extend shelf life.
2). Thermal Stability.
Short-term temperature resistance is good, but sustained high temperatures will accelerate decomposition and produce by-products (e.g. acetic acid, aldehydes), affecting the quality of the aroma.
3). Storage period
Under unopened conditions, it can usually be stored stably for 2-3 years; after opening, it is recommended to use it up within 1 year and check the appearance and odor changes regularly.
