Application
1). Fragrance Blending: Used as a fixative for daily chemical flavors to prolong the fragrance retention time.
2). Emollient: added to lotions and creams to provide a smooth skin feel.
3). Surfactant raw material: key intermediate for synthesizing soaps and emulsifiers (e.g. sucralose laurate).
4). Intermediates for organic synthesis: to produce chemical products such as dodecanol, surfactants and lubricants.
5). Biodiesel Component: As a component of fatty acid methyl ester (FAME) for renewable fuel production.
6). Used as a cold storage agent in medical cold packs to absorb heat using its 4-7℃ phase change properties to relieve gouty joint pain, and has good fit and reusability.
Storage
1). It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, avoiding direct sunlight and high temperature (storage temperature recommended 2-8°C). Keep away from fire, heat source, strong oxidizer, strong acid and other incompatible substances.
2). Packing: Sealed in galvanized iron drums or plastic drums.
3). Need to prevent leakage to water bodies.
Stability
1). Hydrolysis resistance: stable at room temperature, not easy to be decomposed by water, but esterification reaction may occur when exposed to strong acid or alkali environment for a long time.
2). Oxidation resistance: avoid contact with strong oxidizing agents to prevent oxidative deterioration.
3). Compatibility: miscible with organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, acetone, but insoluble in water.
