Application
1). Fragrance industry: heptanoic acid is an important raw material for the production of heptanoic acid ester spices, heptanoic acid ester has a fruity, cheese flavor, etc., can be used to blend a variety of flavor flavors, such as in the food industry for the deployment of cheese, beer and other flavors, but also can be used for cosmetic products as a flavor component.
2). Pharmaceutical field: Heptanoic acid can be used as organic synthesis intermediates for the synthesis of drugs, such as norethindrone enanthate, which can inhibit the secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, thereby inhibiting ovulation, and directly act on the cervical mucus and endometrium, play a contraceptive role. In addition, DOJOLVI is a synthetic medium-chain odd-numbered triglyceride composed of heptanoic acid, which is used clinically for long-chain fatty acid oxidation disorders.
3). Industrial Use: Heptanoic acid can be used in the synthesis of ester lubricants, such as glycerol ester of heptanoic acid, which can enhance the high-temperature performance of lubricants. It can also be used as a surfactant, which contributes to the wetting, dispersing and emulsifying properties of products, and can also be used in the production of plasticizers.

Storage
1). Storage condition: store in cool and ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat source, prevent direct sunlight.
2). Packing requirement: usually packed in 100kg aluminum drum, keep the container sealed to prevent leakage.
3). Mixed storage taboo: It should be stored separately with oxidizing agent, reducing agent and alkali, avoid mixed storage to avoid reaction.

1). CHEMICAL STABILITY: Heptanoic acid is stable at room temperature and pressure. However, it is incompatible with strong oxidizing agents, alkalis and reducing agents, and chemical reactions may occur on contact.
2). Thermal stability : Heptanoic acid is relatively stable to heat, but may decarboxylate to form hexane and carbon dioxide at high temperatures.
3). Others: Heptanoic acid is flammable, and may cause combustion when exposed to open flame and high heat, so open flame and high temperature should be avoided when storing and using.
